ALDERSHOT have signed talented young seamer Sean O'Dwyer for their 2017 TVCL campaign.

O’Dwyer (20) is a promising quick playing for West Torrens Eagles in South Australia’s District Competition (SACA).

Son of Shepparton Association quick, eight-game Melbourne Demons footballer and 122-game Woodville / Eagles stalwart Des, O’Dwyer broke into first-grade in 2015/16, in a side that features the likes of Callum Ferguson, Dan Cullen, Kane Richardson (Australia), Kelvin Smith and Trent Kelly (Redbacks).

He played 6 matches in the Eagles top flight, but has since played predominantly in second grade.

A former South Australia Under-17’s representative (2013/14), O’Dwyer trained with the SACA Under-19 squad in 2015/16 and is now pushing first grade re-selection for the Eagles.

Since his debut for West Torrens back in 2009/10, O’Dwyer has taken 82 wickets at 18.79 at the point of writing with best bowling figures of 5-25 taken in second grade during the 2014/15 season.

The talented quick, who comes highly recommended, has recently signed to play with Aldershot following their promotion to Div 2 of the Thames Valley Cricket League next summer..
