Beacon return for Richard Wissing - 30/09/14

Richard Wissing BEACON will welcome the return of South African Richard Wissing next summer after a brilliant maiden season in 2014.

The 20-year-old was quite simply, the stand-out all-rounder in the Staffordshire Club Cricket Championship for Beacon.

Playing in the Premier Division, the former Glenwood High School, now University of KwaZulu-Natal all-rounder churned out 923 runs at 54.29 to include a remarkable undefeated double century (216*) alongside 47 wickets at 13.80.

It was Wissing's maiden stint abroad and he certainly impressed, as he's done throughout the KwaZulu-Natal age-groups and more recently for the UKZN in  Pietermaritzburg.

Wissing is an all-rounder looking to progress onto higher honours and will be hoping to replicate his performances for Beacon next summer.
