ADDINGTON VILLAGE have signed stand-out country cricketer Chris Beaty for their Kent League campaign.

Beaty (26) is a stand-out country cricketer from Australia, plying his trade in the Whyalla Cricket Association, located on the east coast of the Eyre Peninsula in South Australia.

Beaty is a genuine all-rounder, who skippered his North Whyalla Cricket Club for three seasons (2012-14).

A left-arm swing bowler and hard-hitting top-order batsman, Beaty boasts an impressive record in the Whyalla A Grade Competition. Over 59 matches, dating back to the 2009/10 season, Beaty has scored 1,495 runs at 32.50 and taken 82 wickets at 15.48.

However, the current 2015/16 season has been his best to date, with 22 wickets at 9.77 and 380 runs at 63.33 including best performances of 7-19 and 95*.

The all-rounder, who represented South Australia Country at Under-16 level, also broke into the Senior SA Country Outbacks in 2014/15.

He played for the side in the SACA Premier T20 Competition and Australian Country Cricket Championships, where he opened the bowling and batted middle-order.

Beaty will now spend his 2016 summer playing for Addington Village in the Kent League's 4th Division.
