CC Bloemendaal have signed former Australian Under-19 star Lewin Maladay for their 2019 Hoofdklasse campaign.

Maladay (21) is a talented wicket-keeper batsman playing for the powerhouse Gold Coast Districts Cricket Club in Queensland’s first grade competition.

Over the past two seasons, Maladay has converted his promise at age-group level into performance in first grade with season tallies of 504 runs at 28 (2017/18) and 646 runs at 34 (2018/19).

The gifted gloveman enjoyed a glittering junior career, representing New South Wales and Australia at Under-17 and Under-19 level. He has been involved with the Queensland Academy of Sport and Australia’s National Performance Squad.

In 2017/18, he joined the Dolphins following two season in the Sydney Grade Competition for the University of NSW, where he played regular first grade.

Maladay is now pushing for higher honours and has aspirations to break into the Queensland Bulls set-up in the next few years.

In a view to his ongoing development, the talented Australian is set to embark on his maiden stint abroad in 2019 having recently signed with Dutch club Bloemendaal for their Hoofdklasse campaign.
