Brooklands bag Albion ace - 07/01/16

Dan Duke

BROOKLANDS have signed Kiwi all-rounder Dan Duke for their 2016 CCCL campaign.

Duke (24) has played for the star-studded Albion club in Dunedin’s Premier Club Competition since the 2012/13 season.

In the 2014/15 he averaged 25 and 44.33 in the 50-over and declaration formats respectively and continues to perform in the current season.

Duke played age-group representative cricket for Otago in 2009 and the following season he struck the fastest century in Dunedin Club Cricket (100 from 51 balls).

He then headed to the UK to play for Billingborough, taking 46 wickets at 14.46 in the clubs promotion winning season in the South Lincs and Border League.

Duke will now return to the UK to join Brooklands in Division 2 of the Cheshire County Cricket League.
