Bumper start ahead of 2018 season - 27/09/17

Kaustub Pawar

It’s been a hectic few weeks for the CricX team...

...with post-season “performance reviews”, ascertaining client availability and recruiting new players for the 2018 season.

We’ve also negotiated dozens of placements already for next summer, to include the re-signing of Kaustub Pawar. The Indian sensation helped Greenmount to promotion, topping not only the Greater Manchester League (GMCL) run charts, but his 1,136 runs at 87.38 (3x100s, 7x50s) saw him top the CricX client 2017 batting averages.

The 2018 season will also see the return of Iraq Thomas, another whose exploits helped his club (Congresbury) to promotion.

Young and promising amateurs Matthew Edwards (Earlswood – Warwickshire League), Wesley Bedja (St Gluvias – Cornwall League), Brock Price (Hadleigh – Two Counties Championship), Dylan Ross-Watt (Halesowen – Birmingham League) and Clayton Floyd (Sawbridgeworth – Hertfordshire League) will also return to their respective clubs.

The CricX team has also placed a heavy contingent of Sri Lankan Pros, including the likes of Nipun Karunanayake (Himley – Birmingham League), Sangeeth Cooray (Morley – Bradford League), Roshan Jayatissa (Tudhoe – Durham League), Sanjaya Chathuranga (Wimbledon – Surrey Championship), Shanuka Dulaj (Arbroath United – Scottish Eastern Premier League, Gamindu Kanishka (Thame Town – Home Counties Premier League), Mahela de Silva (Thornaby – North Yorkshire & South Durham League), Sameera Sadamal (Millom – North Lancs & Cumbria League) and Dushan Vimukthi (Brinscall – Ribblesdale League).

It’s been a bumper month of placements with dozens on the verge and in the pipeline.
