CHEADLE HULME have snapped up the services of kiwi all-rounder Talor Williams for their 2016 season.

Williams (21) is a tall batsman and brisk medium pacer currently plying his trade in Victoria, Australia for the 2015/16 season.

He is playing for Port Fairy in the strong Sungold Division 1 of the Warrnambool and District Cricket Association.

He is one of the stand-out batsman in the WDCA top flight, following his move from Wellington, New Zealand where he’d played for Wainuiomata (2013/14) and Johnsonville (2014/15) in previous seasons.

Williams played for the latter, in a league that often feature the likes of New Zealand players Grant Elliot and James Franklin.

Before his move across the ditch to Australia, he spent the 2015 summer playing in Wales. He dominated, finishing second on the run charts in the North Wales Cricket League (Division One) for Dolgellau. He belted two centuries amongst 794 runs at 52.93.

The kiwi then showed his skills with the ball, taking 39 wickets at 13.72 including two 5 wicket hauls, to finish inside the top five leading wicket-takers.

Courtesy of last season's exploits, the batting all-rounder has recently signed for another stint abroad in 2016 - this time for Cheshire club Cheadle Hulme for their CCCL Division 1 campaign.
