CHIPPENHAM have re-signed promising South African all-rounder Darry Losper for their 2017 WEPL campaign.

Darryl Losper (24) has spent four of the past five seasons in England, playing for clubs including Cromford Meadows (Derbyshire County League), Padiham (Ribblesdale League) and Chippenham (West of England Premier League).

During his maiden stint in the UK, Losper smashed 539 runs at 59.89 and also weighed in with 28 wickets at 13.07 for Cromford Meadows.

Two years on he returned to play for Padiham, scoring 518 runs at 25.90 and taking 37 wickets at 20.54 with his medium pace in what was a solid season.

In 2015, Losper racked up 643 runs at 40.19 alongside 9 wickets at 20.89 for WEPL side Chippenham. He then returned to the club in 2016 and struck a further 562 runs at 40.14.

In his homeland, Losper plays for Kuilsriver in the Western Province Cricket Association (1B) following a move in 2014/15 from Easterns in the Boland Premier League.

Losper will return to Chippenham once again in 2017 as they continue their campaign in the WEPL's Glos/Wilts division.
