Old Rutlishians reel in VIC quick Tom Collett - 09/02/16

OLD RUTLISHIANS have signed Victorian seamer Tom Collett following their promotion into Surrey Championship's 1st Division.

Collett (25) is currently playing Victorian Premier Cricket for Kingston Hawthorn where, over the past five years and 75 matches, he has taken 78 wickets at 34.58 playing predominantly Premier first grade.

He moved to Kingston Hawthorn (2011/2012) and broke into first grade in his maiden season, following three seasonswith Frankston Peninsula playing second & third grades (47 wickets at 25.83).

Collett took 10 wickets at 29 in 2011/12 and 21 wickets at 31.67 in first grade. A lean 2013/14 season preceded another strong summer, taking 20 wickets at 26.50 in first grade (2014/15), where he also averaged 14.38.

He has also recently gained selection for the Victorian Indigenous side set to play at the National Indigenous Cricket Championships in Alice Springs this month.

Collett will make his move to the UK this year for recently promoted Old Rutlishians who will, this summer, play in Division 1 of the Surrey Championship.
