CUBLINGTON have signed Australian player-coach Stuart Bridgen ahead of next season's Cherwell League campaign.

Bridgen (18) is an Australian keeper/batsman playing ACT Premier Cricket for North Canberra Gungahlin and has established himself as the 1st Grade wicket-keeper since his debut in 2014/15.

Towards the back end of last season, he scored his highest 1st Grade score to date – 43 against a strong Mick Delaney-led Weston Creek Molonglo attack.

Bridgen has been, and continues to be, part of the MyCoach Cricket Academy under the tutelage of Ryan Carters (NSW), Simon Cusden (Kent) and Ian Butler (New Zealand).

He came through the Gosford CC age-groups before playing for Kingcumber in the Central Coast Competition and represented the Central Coast age-groups before moving to South Australia where he played age-group cricket for Tea Tree Gully.

Bridgen will make his move to the UK next summer as a player-coach for Cublington in Division 3 of the Cherwell League.
