AUSTERLANDS sign one of Sri Lankan cricket's brightest talents Shanuka Dulaj for their 2017 campaign.

Dulaj (21) burst onto the domestic scene in 2015/16 taking T20 figures of 5-22, before hitting his maiden first-class hundred (128) a month later.

As it stands, the former Prince of Wales College student boasts a first-class batting average of 56.20 alongside a T20 bowling average of 10.16.

Dulaj had shot to prominence a few years earlier, following an outstanding season for his College. He struck 1,249 runs and took 44 wickets during the 2013/14 Inter-School season.

Dulaj will feature once again for Moors Sports Club during the 2016/17 domestic season, alongside the likes of Sri Lankan internationals Mahela Udawatte, Chaturanga De Silva, Kosala Kulasekera and Dilhara Lokuhettige.

He will then head to the UK in 2017 for his first league cricket stint, playing for Austerlands in the Pennine Cricket League's Premier division.
