Explosive Jamaican joins Lullington Park - 09/02/16

Shacaya Thomas

LULLINGTON PARK sign first-class batsman Shacaya Thomas for their 2016 Derbyshire Premier League campaign.

Thomas (27) is a former Windies Under-19 player, currently playing first-class cricket in the West Indies Professional Cricket League where he opens the batting for Jamaica.

He has played 40 domestic matches, predominantly for the Combined Campuses and Colleges (27), where he enjoyed a barnstorming 2013/14 domestic season scoring two centuries amongst 548 runs at 45.66.

Courtesy of his first-class exploits, Thomas was rewarded with a Antiqua Hawkbills contract for the 2014 Caribbean Premier League and was then recruited by Jamaica for the 2014/15 season.

Thomas will shortly turn his attention to the UK, where he'll be playing for Lullington Park in the Derbyshire Cricket League's top flight this summer.
