DEFENDING North Lancs and Cumbria Premier League champions Furness have signed CD Stags star Seth Rance.

Rance (28) is seam bowling all-rounder who can lay claim to being the most economical seamer in New Zealand T20 cricket.

Over 29 matches, the right-arm seamer has taken 35 wickets at 19.85 with an economy of 7.07 and a strike-rate of 16.8 balls per wicket.

He can boast back-to-back Ford Trophy titles with the Central Districts Stags (2014/15, 2015/16), helping them defend their crown by topping the one-day wicket charts during the latter (19 wickets at 13.78).

Rance has been an integral cog in the successful Stags machine since his T20 debut in 2009/10. Over the past two editions of the Georgie Pie Super Smash, he has been the Stags leading wicket-taker.

In Nov-Dec 2015, he topped the Stags’ charts over team-mates, Blackaps’ quicks Milne (8) and Mathieson (7) with 12 wickets at 19.25 and economy of 7.45.

Rance is set to join Furness for their upcoming 2016 campaign, as they look to defend their Premier title.
