Gold Coast Dolphins' All-Rounder signs for Blunham - 27/02/15

Tyler SmithBLUNHAM have signed promising Gold Coast Dolphins all-rounder Tyler Smith for the 2015 season.

Smith (22) is a leg spin bowling all-rounder for the Dolphins - club that plays home to Queensland State players Cameron Brimblecombe, Michael Nesser, Nick Stevens, Andrew Robinson and Warwickshire starlet Sam Hain.

Smith is into his second season with the Dolphins in the Queensland Premier Grade Competition, following his move from rival club Ipswich / Logan Hornets in 2013/14.

He has since played 35 games across the grades, predominantly in the 2nds where he has racked up 503 runs at 19.35 and 35 wickets at 23.91.

At the point of writing, Smith is the Dolphins leading wicket-taker with 30 poles at 19.10 and is pushing a return to first-grade, after making his debut last summer in the top flight against a star studded Redlands side that includes Bulls and Brisbane Heat players Jimmy Peirson, Ryan Leloux, Marnus Labuschagne and Alex Kemp.

Smith has signed for the Cambs and Hunts County League club and is eager to make a big impact during his maiden stint abroad in 2015.
