Great & Little Tew sign SWD's Martin Coetzee - 26/02/15

Martin CoetzeeGREAT AND LITTLE TEW have signed former first-class batsman Martin Coetzee for the 2015 season.

Coetzee (26) is a player/coach of some pedigree who played 6 List-A matches for South West Districts during the calendar year from February 2010.

He has since been a star performer for the Wanderers club, dominating in both facets with season stats of 950 runs at 55.88 and 27 wickets at 19.87 (2013) and 233 runs at 58.25 and 12 wickets at 16.89 (2014).

Coetzee continues to play representative cricket and, over the past two seasons has averaged 54.75 (2013) and 47 (2014) for the Highveld Strikers B side with the bat.

He has also played one season abroad, namely in 2011 for Hindley St Peters in the Manchester District Premier League.

Coetzee will return to England in April and take up his position with Great and Little Tew who are eager for promotion in Division 2 of the Home Counties Premier Cricket League this summer.
