Henry joins Cornwall's Roche CC - 12/03/15

Oliver HenryTALENTED seam bowling all-rounder Oliver Henry will play in the Cornwall League for Roche this summer.

Henry (22) has started making a big impact in Hamilton club cricket this summer. His all-round exploits have subsequently been rewarded with Hamilton ‘B’ selection.

The former New Zealand Under-20s Indoor Training Squad member has transferred his success to the outdoor version of the game during the current 2014/15 season.

Henry, who is into his third season of Premier club cricket for Melville is currently inside the top 20 on the MVP charts courtesy of 188 runs at 37.60 and 18 wickets at 16.56.

He boasts best Premier performances of 6-27, 5-27 and 63*, with the latter two achieved this summer.

Henry is a first-change bowler who operates in the early 70s, bowls wicket-to-wicket with the ability to shape the ball both ways. With the bat, he historically comes in around 7, strikes at around a run-a-ball and is equally proficient against pace and spin.

After four years of Premier Indoor cricket and 2 national championship titles, Henry is keen to experience success in outdoor cricket in future.

He is seeking higher representation and, in a view to developing his game to the next level, he has signed to play for Roche in the Cornwall League this summer.
