HUNSLET NELSON have moved swiftly to replace the injured Chris Russo with compatriot Chris Anderson. 

The Bradford League club have signed the talented batting all-rounder who plays for Richmond (Monash Tigers), one of Melbourne’s most prestigous and star-studded clubs.

He plays Premier 2nd XI, in a club that regularly features Australian stars Dan Christian and Cameron White.

Anderson has played over 60 matches for Richmond since his debut season in 2012/13. He has played predominantly in Richmond’s second tier and, at the point of writing has scored 1,507 runs at 23.55 including a highest score of 102* struck within his 2014/15 season tally of 600 runs at 31.38.

Anderson played a key role in Richmond’s Premiership winning campaign last summer, hitting a brilliant 60 in the Grand Final against Fitzroy Doncaster.

He is now looking to make a big impact for his new club who will compete in the Championship A Division of the Bradford League in 2016.
