Wellingborough Town sign Sydney Grade Jackson - 15/12/15

WELLINGBOROUGH TOWN have signed promising Sydney Grade batsman Connor Jackson following promotion in the NCL.

Jackson (20) is currently into his second season for University of New South Wales in the prestigious Sydney Grade Competition. 

Playing a combination of 2nd and 3rd Grade, plus Poidevin Gray Shield matches for UNSW, he has to date scored 788 runs at 31.52 over 30 matches.

Last summer, Jackson scored 306 runs at 51 in the 3rd Grade, culminating with promotion to the 2s scoring 243 runs at 27, with his final four innings all over 40.

Prior to playing Sydney Grade cricket, he spent 3 years playing for Newington College 1st XI in the Australian Premier Schoolboy Competition, averaging 33.80 in his final season.

In 2016 Jackson will join Northamptonshire Cricket League side Wellingborough Town who last summer were promoted into the Premier Division.
