Knights' prospect Pretorius signs for Strabane - 03/02/16

STRABANE sign exciting batting prodigy Kevin Pretorius for their NWCU Premier campaign this summer. 

Pretorius (18) recently topped the CSA Franchise Cubs Week run charts (222 runs at 44.40) playing for the Knights, where he churned out fifties against the South African Under-17s (92) and Lions (59) while also taking 5 wickets at 20.60.

In 2014 the talented batting all-rounder earned his Knights selection after he averaged 37.33 during the CSA Under-17 Week, then in December 2015 racked up 141 runs at 35.25 during the Khaya Majola Coke Week.

Pretorius is a highly rated player who has played three years of first team cricket for St Andrew’s – 323 runs at 36 in his debut season whilst in Grade 10 (2013), followed by 903 runs at 50.16 (2014) and 712 runs at 71.20 (2015) in Grade 12 last year.

The left-hand batsman has set his sights on UK Premier cricket and will be heading to Ireland in 2016 to play for Strabane in the North West Cricket Union's top flight.
