Malpas recruit Aussie Jake Hogben - 17/02/15

Jake HogbenTACS Partnership Cheshire Cricket League Club Malpas have snapped up young Aussie Jake Hogben.

Hogben (21) is a strong country cricketer playing for Yankalilla in the Great Southern Cricket Association in South Australia.

An opening swing bowler and developing middle-order batsman, Hogben has played 67 matches in the GSCA, taken 85 wickets at 19.89 and scored 869 runs at 15.80.

However, over the past few seasons, he has started to string his performances together culminating with Association selection for initially the Under-21’s, followed by the Senior GSCA side in 2013/14.

To date this season, Hogben has taken 17 wickets at 17.06 with best bowling figures of 5-34. He has 205 runs at 25.63 with several notable scores from the middle-order.

He has become a well respected pace bowling all-rounder in the GSCA and is hoping to achieve higher honours in future.

In order to continue his development, he has signed to play in Division One of the Cheshire League for Malpas in 2015.
