Monton re-sign Warriors' Christiaan Jonker - 29/09/14

Christiaan Jonker Pulling MONTON & WEASTE are delighted to announce the re-signing of Chevrolet Warriors professional Christiaan Jonker for 2015.

The 28-year-old batting all-rounder starred for the club in 2014, helping them to the Central Lancashire League - Championship division title and promotion to the Premiership next year.

The CricX and Warriors star was one of the CLL's leading performers hitting 1,253 runs at 78.31 with a league best 222 alongside 32 wickets at 10.69. He finished top of the league wicket averages and was runner-up to Milnrow's Rudi Second on batting averages.

Jonker has since returned to South Africa and is hoping for another prolific season for the Warriors. He will be hoping to emulate his 2012/13 performances that saw him finish as the third leading run-scorer during the 2012/13 Ram Slam T20 Challenge (311 runs at 38.87) and secure a spot in the South African Emerging Players in April 2013.
