Grappenhall sign IPL all-rounder - 02/12/15

 GRAPPENHALL have signed former Indian first-class and IPL all-rounder Ryan Ninan for their 2016 campaign.

Ninan (29) spent 12 years playing representative cricket for Karnataka (2009-2013) and Goa (2008/09) with 12 domestic matches, including 4 first-class, scoring 205 runs at 51.25 and 10 wickets at 34.90.

Over a 4-year period (2009-2013) Ninan was also an IPL contracted player, which included 2-year stints with Kings XI Punjab and Royal Challengers Bangalore.

In more recent years, Ninan has played in Australia in the Victorian Premier Competition.

He played 4 matches for the Hawks in 2013/14 (179 runs at 44.75 and 8 wickets at 25) and excelled in 2014/15 with 524 runs at 65.50 and 25 wickets at 22.40.

Ninan has also been actively involved with the club's leadership group, currently skippering the 1st XI and acting as the clubs spin bowling coach.

Next season Ninan will bring his experience to the Cheshire County Cricket League playing for Division 1 side Grappenhall.
