Norwich sign SACA U19s star Ben Hutchinson - 10/03/15

Ben HutchinsonSOUTH AUSTRALIAN Under-19's all-rounder Ben Hutchinson has signed for EAPL club Norwich.

Hutchinson (19) is a genuine pace bowling all-rounder playing A Grade cricket for Tea Tree Gully, the home of Adelaide Strikers star and new South Australian Redback’s skipper Travis Head.

The youngster from Murray Bridge was one of the stand-out performers for South Australia during the recent Under-19 National Championships.

In a struggling side, Hutchinson averaged 25.80 and 14.70 with bat and ball respectively, including best performances of 50*(against NSW) and 2-17 (Tasmania).

At club level, he has played predominantly A Grade after moving from his previous club West Torrens this summer.

He has also played for the Western Grit in the SACA Premier League – a side flooded with State players including Kelvin Smith, Sam Raphael, Cameron Valente and Andy Delmont.

Hutchinson is quite the talent and is hoping to produce the goods in the East Anglian Premier League for Norwich, during his maiden stint abroad this summer.
