Parker pens for Worlington - 05/03/15

Lewis ParkerTWO COUNTIES Cricket Championship club Worlington have signed South Australian spinner Lewis Parker.

Parker (20) is quite the prospect who has progressed through the Sturt District ranks in Adelaide and now features alongside the likes of Redback’s players Alex Gregory, the Borgas brothers (Jason and Cameron) and international stars Solomon Mire (Zimbabwe) and Shaun Tait (Australia).

An gifted off-spinner and useful lower-order batsman, Parker made his A Grade debut in the SACA Grade Competition’s Twenty20 Cup in 2013/14 and this summer, has featured in both One and Two-Day Competitions.

His elevation to the top flight has been due to his exploits in the B Grade, where he took 13 wickets at 16.46 in 2012/13, followed by 20 wickets at 27.70 in 2013/14.

Parker has signed to play for Worlington this summer and is hoping to make a big impact in division one of the Two Counties Cricket Championship.
