RHC retain Payne - 03/12/15

ROYAL HIGH CORSTORPHINE have re-signed talented Australian Daniel Payne for their 2016 season.

Payne (22) is a right-hand batsman who impressed for RHC last season finishing 4th on the division run charts with 555 runs at 37 alongside 17 wickets at 31.53.

Previously Payne had spent two summers playing for Sparsholt in the SPL and in 2011 notched up 401 runs at 33.41, before returning in 2013 to top the Division 2 run charts hitting 748 runs at 49.86.

Back in his home country Payne has played 120 matches for Adelaide Cricket Club in the South Australian Grade Competition and since his debut in 2008/09 he has scored a total of 2,195 runs at 19.60.

Payne then made his A Grade debut in 2010/11, following a season where he featured for South Australia in the Under-17 Championships, and has featured in 51 A Grade matches across the formats.

Due to his impressive form for RHC last summer the club have re-signed him for a second season where they will compete in the ESCA's Championship.
