Solway slams St George for 184* - 08/11/14

Daniel Solway CRICX star Daniel Solway's magnificent summer continues with another daddy hundred in the Sydney Grade Competition.

Playing this year's Kingsgrove Sports Twenty20 champions St George, Solway batted through the entire innings to finish 184 not out (24x4s, 2x6s) before Bankstown declared after 88 overs for 380-3.

In reply, St George were 18-2 at the end of a stunning day's play for Bankstown who currently lie 7th on The Belvidere Cup (First-Grade) table this season.

Opening batsman Solway lost fellow opener Michael Arblaster (3) early before sharing a brilliant 336-run second-wicket partnership with New South Wales 2nd XI batsman Philip Wells (150).

He had two further partners towards the end of the innings, with Kerrod White (22) and Michael Stretton (1*), but the hero of the day was certainly that of Solway who must surely be pushing for NSW Futures League inclusion.

In four first grade innings this season Solway has churned out 454 runs at 151.30 with scores of 43 (Northern District), 177 (Sutherland), 50 (Sydney University) and now 184* (St George).

Solway also starred in the Kingsgrove Sports T20 with scores of 53 (Parramatta) and 47 in the Semi-Final against Penrith and the pace of Pat Cummins.

The 19-year-old Aussie is in quite a purple patch and he'll be hoping the NSW selectors are taking notice.
