Vauxhall Mallards sign WACA prospect Mitchell Todd - 27/03/15

Mitchell ToddVAUXHALL MALLARDS have swooped to replace Oliver Pringle with Bayswater-Morley star Mitchell Todd.

Original overseas amateur Pringle recently suffered an injury, prompting Mallards signing of former Western Australia Under-19 batting all-rounder Mitchell Todd.

Todd (20) has progressed through the age-group representative ranks for Western Australia, featuring in the Australian Under-15, Under-17 and Under-19 Championships.

He excelled, particularly in the latter (December 2013), striking 205 runs at 34.16 including a century against Tasmania. His success culminated with inclusion into the Warriors Development Squad.

The talented batting all-rounder has played his entire club career with Bayswater-Morley District, where to date he’s racked up 180 matches across all levels scoring 4,645 runs at 29.03 alongside 94 wickets at 28.22 with his off-spin.

He broke into the first-grade side as a 16-year-old and has since churned out 991 runs at 23.60 with 6 fifties and highest score of 82. He has established himself at the top of the Baysie top-order and has also taken 24 wickets evidencing his all-round ability.

The British Passport holding Australian is eager to impress in the East Anglian Premier League during his maiden stint abroad in a view to potentially playing County second team cricket this summer.
