Warrington go Green to replace Adams - 13/11/14

Nathan Green WARRINGTON Cricket Club have signed Nathan Green as replacement for fellow Victorian Kyle Adams in 2015.

Green (21) is a promising opening bowler who burst onto the Victorian Premier Cricket scene in 2012/13 taking 39 wickets at 17.21 for Melbourne University 2nd XI.

He was rewarded a 1st Grade call-up in the opening round of the 2013/14 season, but despite 8 matches in Universities’ top flight, has spent most of his time back in the Premier 2nds.

Green has taken 60 wickets at 21.75 for University across the top two grades, with best bowling figures of 5-71 against Prahran in the 2nd Grade Semi-Final in 2012/13.

The University seamer has big shoes to fill, given Adam's exploits for Warrington over the past three seasons.The fellow Victorian Premier League seamer took 266 wickets at 12.60 and topped the Cheshire County League wicket charts in each of the past three seasons.
