Willoughby joins Devon's Bovey Tracey - 13/02/15

Jordan WilloughbyBOVEY TRACEY have signed Tasmaian age-group batsman Jordan Willoughby for their 2015 Devon Premier League campaign.

Willoughby (19) is a British Passport holding batting prospect playing first-grade for New Town in Tasmania, Australia.

A gifted cricketer, Willoughby broke into the TCA first-grade in 2011/12 aged 16 and has since played 55 matches in a side comprising State cricketers Scott Boland, Andrew Fekete, Mark Cosgrove and Pakistani ace Shoaib Malik.

He has scored two first-grade fifties and has scored well over 2,000 runs averaging a tick under 20 across the grades.

Willoughby has also enjoyed representative experience – playing for the Tasmanian side during the National Under-17 Championships (2012/13) where he averaged 21.

He also ventured abroad last summer and plied his trade for Morecambe in the strong Northern ECB Premier League.

Willoughby has joined the Devon Premier outfit where he hopes to impress this season.
