Windsor tee up Aussie Matt Overall - 28/04/15

Matt OverallWINDSOR have signed hard-hitting Australian batsman Matt Overall for their TVCL campaign.

Overall (22) was a schoolboy prodigy who represented South Australia through the age-groups, to include several National carnivals. He represented the Australian Under-16s during their tour to the West Indies in 2008 and, the following year joined the likes of Pat Cummins and Sean Abbott at the National Centre of Excellence with the Australian Under-18 squad.

By this time, Overall had already made his A Grade debut in the South Australian Grade competition for a Southern Districts club boasting the likes of Redbacks players Chadd Sayers, Daniel Harris and Kane Richardson.

Between 2008 and 2013, Overall played 31 matches for the 1st XI before pursuing a golf career, hence missed the 2013/14 season, but has returned with tremendous success this summer (2014/15) for local club Encounter Bay (751 runs at 50.07).

The talented batsman struck two centuries this season in the top flight of the Great Southern Cricket Association and, given his successful return to the game, has now set his sights on dominating in the Thames Valley Cricket League for Windsor this summer.
