Meyrick has been Canterbury’s front-line spinner in both their National Under-18 (14 wickets at 24.35) and Under-19 (14 wickets at 26.28) tournaments, which ultimately have culminated with Canterbury Under-20s and A selection.

Last summer, he spent a full season playing for Marist Harewood and courtesy of his 27 wickets at 28.89 and best bowling figures of 6-48, won the John Cowens Award for the most Premier club wickets as an Under-20s bowler.

Meyrick is now actively pushing towards first-class honours for the Canterbury Wizards and, in a view to reaching his goal, has decided to venture abroad in 2015 to play for Wisbech Town in Cambs and Hunts Premier League.
