WOORE sign Pakistani run machine Rameez Aziz for their 2017 North Staffs and South Cheshire League campaign.

Aziz (26) is a high-class batsman for Habib Bank Limited and has played over 100 domestic matches spanning neigh on a decade. He has churned out over 5,000 runs across the three formats including 7 hundreds.

Aziz showed his all-round skills during his solitary UK league stint in 2013, taking 44 wickets at 18.48 (alongside 565 runs at 35.31) for Birmingham League club Halesowen.

He is a former Pakistan Under-19 star, who helped his side to the ICC Under-19 World Cup final against Australia in January 2010. He’d previously made his List-A and first-class debut’s during 2006/07 and 2008/09.

In first-class cricket, Aziz has averaged 50 plus in two seasons to date and has started the 2016/17 season off with a bang, hitting a ton (118*) in his opening match.

He has replicated this in List-A cricket hitting 302 runs at 75.50 (2011/12) and 284 runs at 71 (2015/16).

The Pakistani run machine hasn’t played UK league cricket since his maiden stint in 2013 and will return next year to play for Woore in Division 2 of the North Staffs and South Cheshire League.
