Harvey Box (19) is a current Kensington District Cricket Club all-rounder in the South Australian Cricket Association competition. In 2014/15, Box was named Kensington’s Bank SA Under-17 Player of the Tournament which included winning the teams bowling award and chipping in with some middle-order runs. He also top scored last season in his C grade sides Grand Final loss against East Torrens (36) whose attack included South Australian quick Tate Robins.

Box was involved in the South Australian Under-19 development squad over the 2015 winter and is eligible again in 2016. He is hoping to head to play league cricket in the UK before returning to Australia and South Australian selection for the State Under-19 Carnival in December 2016.

Before moving to district cricket, he won the Adelaide Turf Cricket Association bowling award three years running (2011, 12, 13), taking the most wickets in each respective season. Box has his level one coaching qualification, obtained whilst studying Physical Education in school in 2015 and is very eager to get involved with coaching in future.

Recently, Box has completed his Intensive Worldwide of Bartending course which included Responsible Service of Alcohol, Liquor Licensing Laws and how to Manage and Operate a Bar. He seeks an interest in finding work abroad whilst playing cricket and being a bartender is a specific interest as well as gardening (experience with Father’s landscaping business) and coaching.

Box has recently finished Year 12 at the Norwood Morialta High School in Adelaide, South Australia and received his SACE certificate with some University courses in mind. He wishes to study at University in 2017 and then wishes to travel abroad again for cricket upon completion of University. He has an all-round game which has much to offer any club. He is also very keen to get involved in social events and help out by way of volunteer work as often as possible.

Box would be a great recruit for any club and is very keen to secure a player role for the 2016 season. He is the holder of an Australian and English passport and wishes to catch up with some family that lives in England when he has the chance.
