Back home he is vice captain of Marist Cricket Club’s Premier Men’s team in Palmerston North, New Zealand. A right-arm medium pace swing bowler, Morriss normally bowls first-change for Marist and bats in the top order, usually at 3.

Morriss is not only a decent cricketer, but bloke who comes highly recommended by Dave Meiring (Development and Operations Manager at Manawatu Cricket), Grant McCaskie (Marist Club Captain) and fellow CricX client Mitchell Renwick (Central Stags and Manawatu batsman).

He represented his province, Manawatu, through the age-groups (Under-12s to 17s), played three years (2008-10) for Palmerston North Boys’ High School 1st XI and, whilst attending the University of Canterbury, played three seasons of Premier Men’s cricket for St Albans.

Morriss, who is a qualified lawyer, with a double degree in Law and Commerce, majoring in Marketing, is seeking a UK return in 2018 and with this impressive cricketing CV he will be in high demand for a lot of clubs.
