Back home he has been playing club and representative cricket in New Zealand’s deep south. He plays Premier club cricket for North East Valley, which plays home to Otago Volts’ players Michael Rae, Darren Broom, Derek de Boorder and Anaru Kitchen. He is also into his third season playing Hawke Cup cricket for Southland.

Recently, he has been a junior cricket coach for NEVCC where he helps to coach several teams. He has acquired his level 1 coaching certificate and hopes to add levels 2 and 3 to his resume as coaching cricket is a strength of his and enjoys passing his knowledge on to younger kids.

After finishing high school, Andrews-Kennedy studied physical education at the University of Otago in 2015/16 majoring in sport and leisure studies. He has good knowledge of the human body system, pedagogical strategies and personal training.

Andrews-Kennedy has toured New Delhi, India in 2013 and Melbourne, Australia in 2014. He now aspires to play cricket again in Europe in 2018. A tremendous asset to any club for the English summer.
