Stuart Binny (34) is a hard-hitting batsman and skilful medium-pace swing bowler, reminiscent of his father, Indian legend Roger Binny. The prodigy followed in his father’s footsteps when making his debut for India in 2014 (ODI v New Zealand in January 2014).

A few months later, Binny made his Test debut in England, scoring a match-winning 78. He then produced a match-winning spell of 6-4 in the second ODI against Bangladesh later that year – the best ODI figures for an Indian. He was subsequently named Man of the Series. Binny was included in the 2015 ICC World Cup squad, then made his T20 debut against Zimbabwe in the same year. During his international career, Binny also recorded the highest sixth-wicket partnership for India in ODI cricket – with Ambati Rayudu against Zimbabwe.

He has also been a key performer in the Indian Premier League for Franchises including the Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals and Royal Challengers Bangalore – with whom he helped reach the IPL final in 2016. He is currently contracted with inaugural IPL champions Rajasthan Royals for what will be his tenth IPL season in 2019.

At domestic level, Binny represents Karnataka in all three formats. A former Karnataka captain, he has been a member of two Ranji trophy winnings teams. He helped lead the Belagavi Panthers to their maiden title in Karnataka's Premier T20 domestic tournament KPL 2017 and was awarded Man of the Series. Stuart was awarded the Lala Amarnath Best All Rounder award by the BCCI for the 2011/12 season. He boasts illustrious domestic statistics, with both bat and ball.

In 88 first-class matches, Binny has racked up 4,332 runs at 33.58 (10 x 100s) and 135 wickets at 32.80 (3 x 5w). He has played over 300 matches across the three formats alongside 6 Tests, 14 ODIs and 3 T20I’s for India. The all-rounder is now seeking opportunities outside India following his IPL campaign which concludes mid-May 2019. He represents a high-class and profile signing for any side.
