Malwande Zamo (22) is a promising pace bowling all-rounder playing for Border in both first-class and List A cricket in South Africa. He broke into the amateur provincial set-up in March 2018, taking figures of 4-37 and 2-35 against KwaZulu-Natal in East London. Opportunities since have been sporadic, but the talented all-rounder has now played his 5th first-class game in order to meet Tier 5 criteria to play UK league cricket in 2019.

Zamo has progressed through the Border ranks, representing the province through the age-groups to include Coke Week. He starred for his High School and was an integral member of the Border Academy in 2016/17, where he skippered the side and finished as the leading run-scorer and second leading wicket-taker. His exploits culminated with Warriors Cubs (U23) inclusion for the CSA Cubs Week in January 2016.

He has since gone on to feature for Border and aspires to cement his spot this summer and progress to Franchise cricket in future. The talented all-rounder is now eager to showcase his skills in the UK this summer.
