Damith Indika (26) is a batting all-rounder who represented Sri Lanka from Under-15 to Under-19 level and toured countries including New Zealand, Malaysia, Bangladesh and India. He made his first-class debut in the 2002/03 season for the Sri Lankan Schools and was picked up by the Sinhalese Sports Club the following season. He spent six seasons with the Club before moving at the start of the 2009/10 season to play for the Sri Lankan Army in Tier A of the Premier Championship. He has enjoyed a successful season, hitting 357 runs at 32.45 and now boasts over 1,500 first-class runs averaging a respectable 26.43. Although he is used sparingly with the ball at first-class level,  Indika is a very useful (and highly recommended) leg-spin bowler. He has proven his all-round ability over the past two seasons playing league cricket for NPL Teddington in the Thames Valley League. In 2008, he scored 775 league runs in 18 innings at an average of 51.67 (2 hundreds) and took 50 wickets at 12.88. The following season, although he didn't reach the same dizzy heights, he still managed 497 runs at 29.24 and 31 wickets at 18.45. During his time in England, he has obtained a UKCC Level 2 coaching qualification and is now eager to return to the UK in 2011.
