Major Teams: Islamabad Region, Rawalpindi Rams, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited

Atif Ashraf Qureshi (30) is a diminutive batsman with ten season’s first-class experience. Ashraf currently opens the batting with Imran Nazir for Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited and boast an impressive domestic record comprising over 2,000 first-class runs averaging a touch below 30 and 756 one-day runs at 36. He was on the verge of a national call-up after hitting 596 runs at 42.57 including his maiden (and only) first-class hundred (177) in 2006/07. However, national honours have eluded Ashraf, but he continued to dominate English League cricket as he had done so since the turn of the decade. Nobody has made a greater impact on the Northern Cricket League scene in recent years than big-hitting Atif Ashraf. In the seven years he played in the league, few have touched the destructive Leyland, then Darwen professional for his sheer weight of runs and penchant for smashing records. Ashraf past the thousand run mark twice during this period and blitzed a record 1,068 runs at 106.8 in 2007. He set another record in the process, hitting the first-ever double century (208*) in the history of the league (an innings that included 17 sixes!). He also provided his worth with the ball, taking over 100 league wickets including several five-wicket hauls. Ashraf decided to take a break from league cricket in 2009, but is now eager to return and continue his domination. He represents one of the most destructive signings available for the 2011 season.
