Major Teams: Gold Coast Dolphins 3rd Grade, Gold Coast Dolphins Under-21s, Tweed Heads DCA Under-19s
Brent Murray (18) is a promising off-spin bowler who is playing in the Norm McMahon Shield (3rd Grade) for Gold Coast Dolphins. This is a strong level of cricket with the Club's 1st Grade side comprising a number of Queensland representatives, including State leg-spinner and Club captain Daniel Doran. Murray represented and captained his local region (Tweed District) through the age-groups and was selected for the South East Queensland under-15s and 16s. Due to limited opportunities to further his career, Murray transferred clubs recently to play in the Brisbane Grade Competition for Gold Coast Dolphins. He picked up 21 wickets at 22.3 in the Norm McMahon Shield which placed him amongst the leading wicket-takers in the 2009/10 competition. Murray comes highly recommended as a player with a strong work ethic dedicated to improving his game. He now seeks an opportunity to play in the UK, to bowl plenty of overs and return to push for higher honours.
