Alton is delighted to announce the signing of new Titans quick, Thando Ntini, for their 2021 Southern Premier Cricket League campaign.
The son of a legend
Ntini is an exciting prospect and son of Proteas legend Makhaya Ntini. Like his father, Thando is an opening bowler who’s enjoyed plenty of success during his career to date.
He represented South Africa at the ICC Under-19 World Cup in January 2018 and was picked up by the South Africa Emerging Players in 2019.
He has starred at both provincial and Franchise level for Western Province and the Cape Cobras, respectively.
In 26 domestic matches to date, Ntini has taken 43 wickets, to include best bowling figures of 4-36 on his Momentum One Day Cup debut for the Cobras in February 2020 (see footage below).
Given his success, Ntini has been picked up by the Titans Franchise for the upcoming 2020/21 season.
Alton snap up the starlet
The talented quick really is quite the prospect for South Africa, and to continue his development, is set to play UK league cricket in 2021.
He has recently signed for Southern Premier League outfit Alton, following a brief stint with Kent club Canterbury back in 2019.
Subject to COVID, the Titans seamer will be eager to impress when he joins his newly adopted club in April 2021.
