Cuckney is delighted to announce the signing of Canterbury seamer Andrew Hazeldine for their 2022 Notts Premier League campaign.

Canterbury Wizard

Hazeldine is a left-arm quick playing for Canterbury in New Zealand domestic cricket.

British-born, Hazeldine moved to New Zealand aged 12 and broke into the Canterbury set-up during the 2017/18 season. He has since played 33 matches for the province taking 56 wickets with best figures of 5-33.

Pushing towards all-rounder status

Whilst known for his ability to bowl 140kph rockets, Hazeldine is a competent batter who is developing into a genuine seam bowling all-rounder, boasting first-class, and List A highs of 41, and 31, respectively. He also bats in the top-middle order for his Premier club side, Lancaster Park.

UK success

The Canterbury contracted left-armer is now set on a return to England for the 2022 season. He has previously spent time plying his trade in both Club (Frocester 2016, Hampstead 2017), and County 2nd XI (Essex, Somerset, Hampshire) cricket, alongside a 2-year stint with the MCC Young Cricketers (2016-17).

Set for Notts gig

The dual Passport holder, and accredited NZC level 1 coach, is set to play for Cuckney for their 2022 Nottinghamshire Cricket Board Premier League campaign.
