Alex Roy (23) is an impressive bowling all-rounder from Rotterdam, Netherlands.
A well-rounded cricketer, showing capability in both his bowling and batting, the South African born talent has played challenging and competitive cricket throughout his career so far. Currently playing for Kampong Cricket Club in the Dutch - HoofdKlasse League, the impressive all-rounder has also represented Netherlands 'A' side on numerous occasions.
The 23-year-old is an aggressive right-arm opening bowler, as well as right-handed top order batter. Alex has been part of the Netherlands National Squad for the last 3-4 years, finally becoming a regular member in the Netherlands 'A' XI throughout the 2022 season.
A natural born leader, the youngster is also captain of his club (Kampong), as well as been one of the leading all-rounders in 2023 so far. This season the tall 'Saffa' born quick has taken 38 wickets @ 15.74 with best figures of 4/11. A capable batsman, who often bats within the top 4, Roy has 484 runs @ 37.23 this campaign, including a top-score of 120 back in May.
Alex has now signed for Geyser City in New Zealand for the 2023/24 season.
