Amitoze Singh is a former Indian professional who represented Ranji Trophy sides Punjab (2011-15) and Saurashtra (2016) and spent two years with IPL powerhouse Mumbai Indians (2012-13). During his 6-year career, the seam-bowling all-rounder played 67 matches across the 3 formats, scoring 2,001 runs at 27.29 (1x100, 15x50s) alongside 46 wickets at 33.85.
A batting all-rounder, during his career, he turned many games in his team’s favour. A proven match-winner, Singh has also excelled abroad, with stints in the UK, Holland, and New Zealand.
Singh was a late call-up for the UK 2015 season, playing 7 league matches. His performances (409 runs at 81.80 and 8 wickets) resulted in a return the following summer. He didn’t disappoint, topping the Division 1 run charts (and second run-scorer across all divisions) hitting 1,012 runs at 84.33, including a highest score of 154 against Brockhampton. Singh also weighed in with 25 wickets at 17.24 to conclude a brilliant season in the strong Birmingham League.
Given Singh’s first-class career has come to a close, he has been embarking on other opportunities abroad, with stints in New Zealand (playing for Papakura and Minor Association side Counties-Manukau in 2017/18 and 2018/19), and brief stints for Dosti in the Dutch Topklasse competition in 2018-19.
Singh, whose most recent club season was in New Zealand in 2019/20 for Hawera United, is now seeking a return down under for the 2022/23 season. Singh is looking to replicate his success, from both home and abroad, to include his most recent season in the strong Taranaki Competition (averaging 55.76 and 13.93 with bat and ball respectively) next summer.
