British-born, Hazeldine moved to New Zealand aged 12 and broke into the Canterbury set-up during the 2017/18 season. He has since played 33 matches for the province taking 56 wickets with best figures of 5-33.

Whilst known for his ability to bowl 140kph rockets, Hazeldine is a competent batter who is developing into a genuine seam bowling all-rounder, boasting first-class, and List A highs of 41, and 31, respectively. He also bats in the top-middle order for his Premier club side, Lancaster Park.

The Canterbury contracted left-armer has previously spent time plying his trade in both Club (Frocester 2016, Hampstead 2017, Cuckney 2022), and County 2nd XI (Essex, Somerset, Hampshire) cricket, alongside a 2-year stint with the MCC Young Cricketers (2016-17).

The dual Passport holder enjoyed significant success for Cuckney in the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board Premier League last summer so is now eager to return to the UK for another stint in 2023.
