Andrew Hazeldine is a left-arm quick playing for the Otago Volts, having relocated from Canterbury last summer.
British-born, Hazeldine moved to New Zealand aged 12 and broke into the Canterbury set-up during the 2017/18 season. He has since played 33 matches for the province taking 56 wickets with best figures of 5-33.
Whilst known for his ability to bowl 140kph rockets, Hazeldine is a competent batter who is developing into a genuine seam bowling all-rounder, boasting first-class, and List A highs of 41, and 31, respectively. He also bats in the top-middle order for his Premier club side, Lancaster Park.
The Canterbury contracted left-armer has previously spent time plying his trade in both Club (Frocester 2016, Hampstead 2017, Cuckney 2022), and County 2nd XI (Essex, Somerset, Hampshire) cricket, alongside a 2-year stint with the MCC Young Cricketers (2016-17).
The dual Passport holder enjoyed significant success for Cuckney in the Nottinghamshire Cricket Board Premier League last summer so is now contemplating another another stint in 2023.
