Bert Medhurst is a talented young leg-spin bowling all-rounder who, this summer, has broken into the Netherfield Cricket Club 1st XI, who compete in the Northern ECB Premier League.
Last season (2021), he was a key performer for his Club's victorious Palace Shield League Trophy, and finished as the fourth leading wicket-taker with 39 poles at 16.03, alongside 153 runs at 30 with the bat.
This wasn't the first time Medhurst was amongst the wickets for Netherfield. In 2018, the skillful youngster bagged 52 wickets in all competitions at an average of 9.35, before 30 wickets at 18.90 during the following season.
Medhurst, who has also represented his County (Cumbria) through the age groups and is involved with the 2nd XI, is eager to progress in the game. He is set to join his brother, Sam, down under this winter having signed with Merivale Papanui for their Christchurch Metro Championship campaign in New Zealand.
