Conway Gilbert (23) is an impressive quick bowler from Somerset, England.
Gilbert is a former Somerset age group player and was part of the Academy pathway at the County for 3 years. Currently finishing his studies at Exeter University, before he begins his summer playing for Taunton Deane Cricket Club in the West of England Premier League. Gilbert is widely regarded as one of the quickest bowlers outside of Professional Cricket, and has been clocked at 88mph.
The quick was part of Somerset's 1st XI squad 3 years ago, and was due to travel with them on their Pre season tour to Abu Dhabi before COVID stopped the trip. Outside of his club commitments Gilbert has also represented Cornwall at Minor County Level, and in recent years has aspirations to play more regularly for them after completion of his exams.
The youngster still has aspirations to play at the highest level, and is eager to put his hat back in the ring for higher honours after an injury hit 2023. No doubt an excellent addition for any club wanting a front line seamer for next season.
