Daniel St Clair is a genuine quick playing for the star-studded Trinidad and Tobago side in West Indies domestic cricket.
The left-arm seamer plays for T&C alongside the likes of Darren Bravo, Ravi Rampaul, Rayad Emrit, Shannon Gabriel, Lendl Simmons, and Kyle Hope, to name but a few.
Since his first-class debut in 2014, St Clair has clocked up 56 wickets at 26.66 in 23 WICB Professional Cricket League matches. Of note, almost 90% of these wickets have been top 5 batsmen.
A late bloomer, St Clair found his feet during the 2017/18 season, taking 26 wickets at 21.19, to include career-best figures of 6-62 against the Windward Islands.
His tally was the highest for a fast bowler in T&T history. In 2018/19, he continued to shine with a further 19 wickets at 27.36, however, he only featured in a couple of domestic matches last summer.
The left-arm quick is looking ahead to a big 2020/21 campaign before seeking a UK return in 2021, following his two previous stints in Hertfordshire back in 2011-12.
Playing for Old Owens, St Clair excelled, taking 96 wickets at 16.95. He also evidenced his all-round skills, scoring 2,008 runs at 46.70 with the bat – 1,283 runs in his opening season, with an average of 58.32.
The T&T pace bowling all-rounder is a high-class professional option and will no doubt be a sought-after acquisition for the 2022 season.
