Harry Finch is a talented batting all-rounder (seam) from Yorkshire, England.
Finch is an ambitious cricketer with a thirst for knowledge on how he can improve himself on and off the field of play.
He plays in the Huddersfield Premier League for Barkisland Cricket Club. He recently became a contracted player with Yorkshire CCC on an EPP, based on his successful season last year. The youngster notched up 50's against both Lancashire and Warwickshire in the EPP Futures League last season
A player that will hold his hand up to do many of the daunting tasks that many don’t particularly want to do; he ended up batting 1-5 last year in all formats and scoring important runs doing so. He would field short leg, then bowl hard overs and bat 3 on a few occasions last year.
His bowling has developed significantly over the winter. From being used throughout the middle overs last summer, he is now set to open or bowl first-change for both Barkisland and Yorkshire Academy throughout this 2022 summer.
Finch is a modern-day 360-degree player who is able to play a wide array of shots effectively in the shorter formats but is also able to hone his skills when playing in red ball, multi-day cricket.
A keen coach, Finch has undertaken the ECB support coach qualification and will have his Core Coach (L2) in place shortly. He is an active coach for Barkisland where he also undertakes ground duties.
The talented Yorkshire Academy star clearly has a future and in a view to continuing his development, he is set to fly to Australia this winter to play for Narre South Cricket Club in the Dandenong and District Cricket Association.
