Currently playing Premier Grade Cricket in Wellington for Karori, the tall right-arm quick already has an impressive CV behind him. Representing Wellington up until the age of 19, the young 'Kiwi' also joined up with the the NZ U19's, for a training camp back in 2021.
Now playing club cricket for Karori, Jakob regularly takes the new ball and predominantly looks to seam the ball from the outset. Tall and able to generate bounce at a lively pace, the 22-year-old is able to trouble top-order batters on a regular basis. Jakob's best season to date, was picking up 22 wickets in 10 matches during the 2021 Wellington Grade Competition.
Part of the Hutt Hawkes Mens team, Vandeberg is an exciting prospect who's pedigree continues to grow season by season. Looking to head to the Northern Hemisphere at the conclusion of the 2024/25 season, we see the Wellington based quick turning a few heads for his chosen club, and hopefully contributing some match winning spells with the ball in hand.
